The November FIBA Member of the Month is Daniel Gutierrez, co-chair of FIBA’s Legal & Regulatory Affairs committee! As co-chair, Danny has collaborated with our legal experts on advocacy efforts related to important regulatory issues faced by the financial services industry. Daniel Gutierrez is a Vice President, Regulatory Risk Manager with Ocean Bank. Mr. Gutierrez has managed complex cases involving a wide range of clients from local to wealth management international portfolios including small privately-owned companies to large multinational entities located in the United States, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
Mr. Gutierrez has extensive experience in anti-money laundering, the USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and compliance matters. He currently speaks and provides frequent training on these before Government Officials, Local and International professionals as well as academic audiences.
